Red Camel Collective has just released their brand-new Bluegrass single, “Daughter of the Stars,” available now for Bluegrass radio. Written by Heather Berry Mabe, the single arrives just one week ahead of the group’s debut self-titled album Red Camel Collective, set for release February 21 via Pinecastle Records.
To coincide with the new single, the band is unveiling a special video tribute featuring many of Heather’s friends, fellow artists, and key figures in the Bluegrass industry (watch it HERE). In addition to the single, the full self-titled album is now available for DJ download on AirPlay Direct. The 10-track collection includes previously released singles such as their reimagined version of Charley Pride’s “Roll on Mississippi” and the charting favorites “Sincerity” and “Last Time I Saw Him”—featuring Sharon White, Suzanne Cox, and Michael Cleveland. These songs have made a strong impact, consistently landing on the Roots Music Report and Bluegrass Today charts.
Red Camel Collective is comprised of Heather Berry Mabe (vocals, guitar), Tony Mabe (banjo, vocals), Johnathan Dillon (mandolin, vocals) and Curt Love (bass), who are joined by special guest musicians Stephen Burwell (fiddle) and Jeff Partin (dobro). The band also serves as the current touring members of the Junior Sisk Band, and their name is a tribute to Sisk’s signature hit, “The Man in Red Camels.”
