NASHVILLE, TN (June 27, 2025) -  Following the success of her single “Red Bandana” Laura Orshaw is celebrating the release of the second single “Seeing The Best Of You” from her upcoming album.

“Laura Orshaw exists in the cross section of bluegrass and classic country music, and this rollicking original highlights that in the two-steppingest way, ” shares producer Stephen Mougin. "As we started into our second project together, I wanted to not only showcase her prowess as a singer and fiddler but also as a songwriter. Penned by Orshaw and Josh Rinkel, the song sounds and feels like it could have been written in the 1950’s. Joined by a cast of marvelous musicians, this track was an absolute blast to record.”

Laura adds on the songwriting process: “Josh Rinkel and I were killing time on a car ride. I’d been feeling stuck in my songwriting, so he suggested we do an exercise -  just name the first object that comes to mind and write a song about it, even if it seems totally off the wall!  Well, the word that came to mind was “glasses” and this silly practice turned into a song about questioning whether you’re really seeing clearly in your relationship.”

ABOUT LAURA ORSHAW: A respected powerhouse on the Bluegrass scene, Orshaw was the first female to win SPBGMA Fiddle Player of the Year and prides herself on keeping the sounds of traditional Bluegrass alive in the genre. With her sophomore solo project set to be released in early 2026, Orshaw is already a seasoned performer, having toured throughout the world opening and sharing the stage with artists such as Del McCoury, Ricky Skaggs, John Scofield, Jim Lauderdale, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sarah Jarosz, Becky Buller, and Darol Anger among others. Orshaw has celebrated a successful career as a member of  the Grammy nominated Po’ Ramblin’ Boys and is a two IBMA award winner, and is currently touring with Josh Rinkel in their duo “First Far West”.
