Parmley's Podcast Ep 1, The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) announces that David Parmley will be inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame as a founding member of The Bluegrass Cardinals. The announcement was made today during the 2025 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards Nominee Announcement event at the SiriusXM Studios in Nashville, TN.

Formed in 1974 by David, his father Don Parmley, and Randy Graham, The Bluegrass Cardinals became known for their smooth vocal blend and tight musicianship, and introduced a new level of polish and professionalism to

the genre. David, who was only 16 when the band formed, quickly rose to prominence as one of the genre’s most recognizable voices. His lead vocals set a new standard for emotional delivery and stylistic control in bluegrass

music. The Bluegrass Cardinals recorded numerous landmark albums and left an indelible mark on generations of musicians.

While this Hall of Fame recognition honors his foundational role in bluegrass history, David Parmley remains a vital and active figure in the bluegrass community today. His current ensemble, The David Parmley Band, has earned widespread acclaim for its dynamic performances, tight harmonies, and dedication to both tradition and innovation. Their recent tour dates have garnered enthusiastic reviews, reaffirming Parmley’s enduring place at the heart of the genre.

“I’m honored and humbled by this induction,” said Parmley. “To be recognized alongside my father and our work with The Bluegrass Cardinals is incredibly meaningful. I’m also grateful to still be out here, doing what I love, and playing this music for new audiences.”

Even among the pantheon of music’s finest artists, Del McCoury stands alone. From the nascent sound of bluegrass that charmed hardscrabble hillbilly honkytonks, rural schoolhouse stages, and the crowning glory of the Grand Ole Opry to the present-day culture-buzz of viral videos and digital streams, Del is the living link. On primetime and late-night television talk shows, there is Del. From headlining sold-out concerts to music festivals of all genres, including one carrying his namesake, there is Del. Where audiences number in the tens of thousands, and admirers as diverse as country-rock icon Steve Earle and jamband royalty Phish count as a few among hundreds, there is Del.

Larry Stephenson, long time mandolin player and lead vocalist puts the "class in bluegrass" and the finishing touch on stages across the globe. You can find his hi-lonesome clear penetrating sound on many hit collections and at all stage performances. He IS the man behind the LSB soundr. You can find him & the crew signing autographs and visiting at venues after their stage shows across the country.
