About the Song
“Wired to Break” is really about that feeling of knowing you're doing something that's not good for you and doing it anyway. I can sit there doom scrolling, getting more and more worked up, and somehow I can't stop. I know it's bad for me, but I'll still find some excuse to keep doing it. I think the song is ultimately about self-sabotage and that strange human tendency, the frustrating awareness that we can recognize our own destructive patterns and still participate in them.
“This one’s about my uncanny ability to touch the hot stove after I’ve already been burned. I know better. I just apparently enjoy collecting evidence.” - David Mayfield

The David Mayfield Parade
Leaving audiences feeling higher than a Daytime Moon
David Mayfield Parade is a powerhouse bluegrass ensemble built around five distinct musicians and one common goal: making great music. Led by David Mayfield on guitar, the band features Ryan Wallen on dobro, Keith Wallen on mandolin, Graham Bell on bass, and two-time National Banjo Champion Steven Moore on banjo.
Since coming together in 2022, the group has developed a sound that honors the traditions of bluegrass while giving each member room to bring his own personality and musical voice to the mix. The result is a high-energy, hard-driving band with plenty of heart, musicianship, and a sound all its own.
