#1 Album recording artist & pro session player. Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Dobro and Bass. Bluegrass/Country/Folk/Americana/Dawg/Blues/Classic Rock. I started playing bluegrass at 8 years old, in Seminole, FL. At 12 I was awarded the honor of performing on stage at the World's Fair in Knoxville, and Opryland in Nashville with Brother Oswald, and Charlie Collins. I'm a professional level multi- instrumentalist with the ability to hear a song once and be able to play it without cue from that point on. I also have the ability to hear and produce complex harmony stacks, both vocally and instrumentally. In my 40+ years in the business, I have worked as a utility/sideman with artists: Boxcar Willie, Del Reeves, James King, Dave Adkins, Williamson Branch and Ashleigh Graham. In 2023, I decided it was time to come off the road. It was a bittersweet decision, because being a touring musician was and will always be my greatest passion. That said, It has given me the opportunity to create a presence as an elite session recording artist, with several recordings in my catalog now. And to start up Legacy Stringworks my new custom, made to order banjo, guitar, and dobro building company. I'm back in the studio on my own new album project "Heroes and Faves" right now. It's going to be a 15 track album of originals and covers of songs and instrumentals by my heroes. I have decided to do this project primarily with me on every instrument, to showcase my abilities playing songs exactly the way my heroes did.
