Mike Kear is the award-winning host of Music From Foggy Hollow, a internationally syndicated program broadcasting straight from the Sydney, Australia area. A native New Zealander, Mike fell in love with bluegrass in 1968 after watching the Hamilton County Bluegrass Band on prime-time television. After moving to Australia in 1981, he joined the local bluegrass society, performed in a band, and eventually found his true calling behind the microphone. Mike has been producing and presenting Music From Foggy Hollow for over two decades, celebrating his 1,000th broadcast milestone in 2022. His exceptional dedication to the genre earned him the prestigious IBMA Broadcaster of the Year Award in 2020, making him the very first non-American to ever receive the honor.
